Strass is a trademark of the Swarovski company and is the finest quality crystal used for lighting fixtures. Strass products have a minimum lead content of 30%. Each cut crystal item over 12mm in diameter can be identified by the Strass laser-engraved signature as a guarantee of authenticity.
